歴史・沿革
History
1870年、秋田県湯沢市にて初代又五郎が魚屋として鈴木又五郎商店を創業しました。
売れ残った魚を発酵乾燥させ、独自の肥料として販売を開始しました。同時期には塩専売法が施行され、又五郎商店は塩専売業者として塩産業に参入しました。
5代目又五郎の時代には朝日麦酒（現在のアサヒビール株式会社）と特約店契約を結び、アルコール事業にも参入しました。
現在は秋田県主食集荷商業協同組合の米穀検査機関として、米事業を主軸に湯沢市で事業を展開しています。
In 1870, Matagoro I founded Suzuki Matagoro Shoten as a fishmonger in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture.
In the same time, the Salt Monopoly Law was enacted, and Matagoro Shoten entered the salt industry as a salt distributor.
During the reign of Matagoro V, the company entered the alcohol business by signing a distributorship agreement with Asahi Beer.
Currently, as a rice inspection agency of the Akita Prefecture Staple Foods Consumers Cooperative Association, the company operates its business in Yuzawa City with its main focus on the rice business.

「米の秋田は酒の国」。 環境省選定の名水百選にも選ばれている力水のある秋田県湯沢市は、水質の良さから古くから銘醸蔵も多く、米づくりが盛んです。当社は１８９０年の創業以来、その地に所在しております。
酒づくり、米づくりに関わる人々を中心として社会に貢献することを基本理念とし、地方から日本の希望ある未来の実現に貢献したいと願っております。

The spring water- Chikaramizu in Yuzawa, has been chosen to be one of the tastiest water sources in Japan by the Japanese Ministry of Environment.
