Akitakomachi First-class Rice

Yuzawa City in Akita Prefecture is rich in nature, with many water sources selected as one of the 100 best water sources. Yuzawa City is famous for its rice, which has a sweet taste due to the large temperature difference between day and night. Akita Komachi produced in Yuzawa City won first prize in a strict agricultural product inspection. The rice is grown with carefully selected fertilizers and pesticides by a veteran agricultural inspector and a rice sommelier. Akita-Komachi first-class rice is characterized by its high glutinosity, high aroma, and good balance that makes it easy to pair with any side dish. We store the year's rice in a dedicated low-temperature storage facility, and polish the rice upon order.

The chewy texture of Akita Komachi is still there even when the rice is brown. It tastes great even when cold, making it perfect for onigiri (rice balls) and bento boxes.
Of course, the rice is thoroughly tested for residual pesticides.

The rice is grown in the paddy fields of Kanemata Farm, an affiliated company of ours. This luxurious and affordable brown rice is produced with the highest attention to fertilizers and pesticides.
We adjust and pack the rice in bags only after receiving your order.

Hapa Rice

"HAPA" means "mix" or "blend" in Hawaiian. The seventh generation of the family, who returned to their hometown of Yuzawa from Hawaii, invented the brand name with the desire to "bring the spirit of aloha to Akita.
The Hawaiian philosophy of compassion, harmony, comfort, humility, and perseverance was developed with the theme of bringing people's physical and mental health through food.
Akita Akita Komachi first-grade white rice and brown rice are blended in an easy-to-eat blend. The rice can be cooked in the same operation as white rice in order to incorporate a little bit of healthy brown rice into the body every day.
In addition to being easily cooked in the same way as white rice, this product is expected to open up new demand among consumers who have been avoiding brown rice because they do not like the smell.
When cooking rice, please add a little more water.
